    "Schlageter" badge ID please

I can't upload pics as i'm new to the board and not a fully paid up member so i'll have to describe it for you.

Bronze in colour, resembling a small tombstone. Eagle at the top with a simple cross in the middle. Where the two arms of the cross intersect there is a Swastika. Towards the bottom reads an iscription as follows.

    28.5.33
    Düsseldorf
    Schlageter

On the rear is what i believe could be a makers mark of some kind. "Paulmann & Crone Lüdenscheid". This mark is on the rear of the Swastika.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the British soldier who took this from a dead German is very curious. Many thanks.

Does this look anything like it?

Anyway, Albert Leo Schlageter was one of the Nazi martyrs. He was a young Freikorps officer in the Ruhr region during the French occupation, active in opposing the Frech authority, he was arrested, tried for espionage and sabotage, and executed on May 26 1923, on Golzheimer Heath near Düsseldorf.

This pin was from a Hitler Youth rally commemorating the 10th anniversary of his death.

    Cheers
    Don

Very similar but without the HJ parts. Thanks for your help. He swiped a silver infantry badge too. Managed to identify that from the e-stand forums. The Luger he had, he threw overboard on his way back home for fear of being sent back!
