    Flags

Some of mine. They are either WHW or Tag der Wehrmacht series. I'll let someone else elaborate. There were many in the series.

          "Freiheit und Brot"

March 7, 1936: Hitler sends German troops to the Rhineland Province; proclaims that Germany is no longer bound by the Locarno treaty.

March 29, 1936: 99% of registered German voters vote. 98.9% approve of Hitler's actions.

Hi Ralph, thanks for posting. I notice that your flags have an eagle with swaz where mine only has the swaz. What do you think of the Hitler head one that I posted? It is like a nickel color, shiny. DEL

Hitler head tinnie is fine just one of many campaign buttons from that period.

                    Flag tinnies

.... Are represenative of a particular branch and type of troop. For example the one Ralf A has with a Luftwaffe eagel on a yellow background would represent a flying unit, and the Army ones are "white = infantry, Black=Engineers" and the one that Del Panfini listed looks to be that of Hitlers standart "can't tell due to the photo quality" might also be an SS standart but I don't think it is. Most of the branches had their own flags for different units, color coded according to their function "example Inf, Armored, Jager(Hunting)Inf, ect". Most good research books dealing with the structure of the Wehrmacht will have a color code listing the approperate colors for unit functions in the different branches of service.

                    Hope that helps
