Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren Badge - Rarity

    Hi,

I recently acquired 6 Nazi badges and this one was included. From my research, it appears to be somewhat rare, I could only find one other example. Just looking for some opinions from people who know more than me. Thanks!

Unfortunately, a well known fantasy badge. Get your money back on that one. Might be a good idea to post the other ones you picked up .

        Will do.

But just curious, if it is well known, why can I only find two examples of similar badges?

        Like this one:

And then this one does say it is a Copy:

I'm new to all this, so just curious what exactly is going on. Thanks!

Could be coincidence or maybe you're looking on the wrong places. On local gun shows and fairs fakes like this can often be found in quantities on the tables. If you are interested in enamel badges and want to learn about them I can highly recommend Jo Rivett's book 'The Party Badge'

Fair question Sam . I would hope we don't see these offered as often because some of the larger dealers are aware these are junk and have removed them from their inventory. Obviously not the case with emedals but I think it's encouraging to see Warbooty denote this badge as a copy. Not really a " copy " per se , as it is in fact a fantasy piece that never existed but good to see .
Perhaps you don't see 50 for sale at once but if you hang around long enough you will see them come and go. As Wim Vangossum stated , if your interested in small badges Jo Rivett's Party Badge book is where you should start ... before buying ! All the best !

Wise advice ! Fake items are everywhere including dealer sites , individual sellers and the estand. Good luck !

Be careful of that website, the guy knowling sells fakes as genuine, and expensive fakes too.

Happy to see a post that says`s "it`s happy to see you again" Usually it`s all f...ing and blinding from word Go, with the occasional attempted virtual murder inbetween.
