Is there a ballpark figure of how many different models of tinnies were produced? Every time I look on this Forum I see 3 or 4 hitherto unknown items.

I would say at least 20,000 different ones were produced (but it's probably a lot higher than that, once we add in the Imperial-era).

For me, the artistic value of tinnies is amazing...having an artist sculpt a design, a die cutter make a set of dies (x thousands of different designs)...it'd be cost-prohibitive to make them this way today.
