GPB advice wanted

Good evening, please accept my apologies if this is in the wrong section. I am watching a GPB listed on a UK auction site, while this item is outside my usual area of collecting I am sufficiently interested to consider bidding, I would like an informed opinion before parting with my money. After researching known fakes and what to look for in an original badge I can see both good and bad points in this particular badge.

All advice and opinions gratefully received.

Im happy to see the links worked. The badge is advertised for sale on a UK auction site, there is no information regarding the original owner. After reading everything I could find on spotting fakes the only thing that concerned me was the orientation of the enamel part of the badge in relation to the wreath. If the badge has been repaired at some time and reassembled incorrectly would this impact on its value?

The disc has been reattached off center as you say. That is not as big an issue as if it had enamel damage. Usually doesn't affect value much.

If I were to engage in a little speculation, I think I can see a slight dent on the rim visible on the back just below the pin and white thread (hardly visible) which may be where the badge hit the ground and the enamel disc popped off, thankfully with no damage to the disc.

It's always strange that so many period disc reattachment repairs get the angle wrong so the "A" of "D.A.P." isn't directly over the wreath ribbon at the bottom. III Reich wearers and jewelers were clearly not as fussy as 21st Century collectors.

Here's another thought on this piece: it appears that the pin plate shows reattachment soldering around the circumference. If, as you describe, this badge were dropped and the enamel disc popped off the obverse, would it have been possible for a jeweler to remove the pin plate in order to reattach the disc and then to replace the same Fuess-marked pin plate onto the badge without any damage to the pin plate?
