Where are the Golden Party Badges of prominent leaders?

Where are the GPBs of prominent leaders? Did you ever see one? (I saw the thread about the auction of Sauckel's GPB).

If the party number was engraved on the back, one can clearly find out the holder. But in the case of, for example, Jodl, one can't clearly identify his badge because his party number was higher than 100,000.

They are a bit everywhere in advanced collections. Sometimes auction houses like Thies and Herman Historica have them for sale. Some of the pieces from Hitler are in Russian hands

I completely agree with Wim. Over the years a number of the "prominent Nazis'" GPBs have appeared in auctions, on dealers' sites and as displayed in advanced collections, so they are out there. One always keeps in mind the difference between the numbered GPB -- representing membership in the Party from it's earliest days -- and the so-called 'AH Honorary GPB' -- which represents a gift from Hitler to the individual, usually a military leader or an industrialist or a person close to Hitler's entourage such as one of his secretaries. Numbered badges can often be researched and linked to the Party Member who held that number. The 'AH Honorary GPBs' bear only Hitler's initials and the date of the presentation -- normally January 30th of a given year though not always -- and as such it is ONLY by provenance that such badges can be associated with an particular individual.
