    different hitler youth member pins

can anyone tell me what the different colors of the hitler youth membership badges are.....like what countries are for what color..

    thanks

The different colors represent how many different ways you can waste your money on fakes.

Seriously, HJ diamond pins came in one color scheme only - red and white with a black swastika. All others are fakes, usually made with a maker name "Otto Hoffmann", which maker never made HJ pins. The multi-colored ones (I call them Skittles) are fantasy pins, pure and simple. There are a couple of threads about them.

One exception - there is a rare white and green HJ diamond badge with a sunwheel swastika for the HJ in Ungarn (Hungary), but you won't find it easily.

          sjl,
Isn't there also a green, white & black plastic shield shaped HJ badge
for foreign members? I have one somewhere but can't locate it at the moment. I'll post a pic when I can find it.
          Regards,

I don't know of any plastic one - sounds like a tinnie.

Are you thinking of the HJ Badge for Distinguished Foreigners (also subject of another post - see: http://www.collectorscommunity.net/i...p?showtopic=20), which came with red, brown and green borders? It was a larger metal and enamel oval with siver eagle and HJ diamond. Also very rare and very faked.

Finally found it. Have a look. Isn't this a foreign volunteer's badge?
