In Klaus B recent auction the first pattern blood order number 567 to Karl Heuberger along with a set of gold party badges and a few other bits reached 26000 euros. This seems an expensive buy - what am i missing? is something else in the group pushing the price up?

And a Reichleiter armband went for over $10,000 + 20% auction fee, at the same auction. Bidding war among bidders with deep pockets perhaps.

A nice 1st pattern BO indeed. We're all the items attributed to the same guy including the GPB?

Other than the GPBs most everything else is fairly common so the BO is the main reason for the high price that was realized.

according to the site, the GPB number is 33822 on both the large and small badges.

Too bad, no match. Heuberger had 33022. And high bid a crazy 26,500 EUR.

Yes, a crazy price when you consider that you're really just paying for the BO and GPBs attributed to Heuberger. Still, a very nice and historical grouping.
