    SS/SA tinnie

    Hello Forum members,
I know the pictures are small, but I had a guy who wanted to buy the tinnie and then he came back and said it was not listed in any publications and his "friends" think it is a fake.
I do not want to sell fakes, any of you that have bought from me know I do my very best to weed out the junk.
If this is a fake I need to remove it from my little site. I would hope all you guys that look at my site would help me remove fakes and reproductions.

It is listed in Tieste - Limburg 35-01. As far as the originality goes I am going to go with fake because of what the back of it looks like. Just seems to look flimsy and the details are not very clear on the back as with many stamped tinnies. I will say very clearly that I do not profess to be an expert but you definitely need better pictures for the more knowledgeable people to say either way. I hope I'm wrong, it's a good one to have!

Hello Jack, imo the Badge appears to be Authentic.......original period examples of this particular Badge are constructed from tin, hence judging from the reverse of your Badge the signs are good. However to be 100% sure as Curt stated better Pictures would be necessary. Below I have posted my example of the same Badge

Nice one Martin. With your pictures you can see more crispness in the detail from the back which is difficult to see in the original picture from Jack and why I opted for fake.

Hello Curt, yes close up Pictures indeed would help to confirm if Jack's Badge is Genuine......Ironically from my point of view if anything concerns me regarding the Badge it is the finish to the Obverse.........hence to see a better Picture of the front of the Badge would help to rule out any doubt regarding the Badges Authenticity.

Sorry Guys, I am an idiot. I know better than too post pictures that small and ask opinions. I APOLOGIZE , it just worries me, I am selling several pieces for the wife of an old friend who passed away recently. It seems to be what I do as of late. I am making nothing off of these pieces.
But the last thing I want to do is sell a reproduction to some one.
Here are larger pictures, I think it is good.

I am going to say it once again, if you are looking through my site, for any reason and see something that is even questionable, PLEASE bring it to my attention.
We have to help each other weed out the junk. No one person can know everything.

That looks a whole lot better from the back to my eyes Jack and I hope I am wrong about my initial thoughts. See what Martin has to say about the obverse. Colouring does differ some.

Hello Jack, the close up Pictures confirm that imo the Badge is most certainly Original, albeit to the Obverse of the Badge it appears that someone may have applied a clear Lacquer to the Badge at some stage (hence the variation in Colour that Curt also noticed).... however you should be able to determine this for your self by examining the Badge under an eye Loupe.........even if this proves to be the case imo it would distract little from the value of the Badge.
It would be nice if someone on the forum could post both Badges side by side for easier comparison.
                  Regards Martin
