          Hi Martin:

That's a great one! There can't be a lot of them around; I've gotten a new one in, but I won't have time to photograph it until next week. You may already have it (Mailand 40-01). Interestingly, S.G. Yasinitsky (OMSA #1) wrote a piece about it, which acknowledges it's constructed like a tinnie, but considers it as an official award for the Sportfest, which was the Axis-powers response to the cancelled Olympics.

          Best,

          Andre

There are some really amazing tinnies shown here! All of them are very lovely and desirable.

Andre, the Gauparteitag Wien you show is extremely rare, in fact I only know of two, yours and mine. There are many, many fakes of this one, but they are quite easy to spot as they all lack the "rivets" on the inner shield. Originals are crisply stamped on thin metal and should be missing the (original) pin.

Does anyone else own one of these?

Sorry about the large photo size, I'm still learning to resize my photos apparently.

Wow Peter, these day badges from the Hitlerbewegung period are very nice and I've never even seen the first two you posted before (#22 & 23).

Martin, wonderful rare day badge collection. Just when you think you've seen them all, several more pop up that are unknown to me. I've never seen the Gautag Der N.S.D.A.P. Murzzuschlag 6.Juni 1931 either. Very nice. Though I've seen the Deuscher Tunerbund badge before, this is one special badge. With the flaming pyre and rune text w/swastikas, an extremely pagan looking badge indeed. The "ja, ja, Hitler 1938 is killer and another unknown to me, very, very nice pin!

Though this Gautag Wien badge is not rare, it is not common either. There are two types of this one with different borders. To me, this is one of the most attractive tinnies ever designed.

These two badges are from the illegal period in Austria. They are small and solid and I'm not even sure if one would call them "tinnies", though the darker one had a pin attached at some time.

Thanks for Your kind comments on my badges and for posting Yours! I can see an Austrian "Hitlerbewegung"-badge behind that one, am I right?

                            Kind regards, Peter

With this being a rare tinnie thread, I hope you don't mind me posting this Martin.
If it is a problem, please remove, thank you.

                              Yes Peter, good eye!
