Though you didn't mention the size, this appears to be made from a grip eagle from an SA/SS/NSKK Service Dagger, with a stickpin mounted to it.

          Thank you Br. James,

i've sold this pin as NSDAP Hoheitsabzeichen 3. Form to a very good friend.
Is it possible, that this pin is a variant of Huesken 4011h ???

I hope to get the size from my friend.

          Thanks, Bernd

The eagle has been measured and is the same size as the eagle on a dagger grip. Imperial measurment was used.

Thanks, friends -- I think we have the answer. There surely must have been stocks of grip eagles left over at the end of the war, just as there were countless other findings and spare parts, so for someone to get the idea of adding a stickpin to the reverse of a grip eagle is not too great a stretch of the imagination!

                  Cheers,

                  Br. James

                    Br. James,

                    Believe you are right.

Here is one from a Veteran's lot that may have been a reject for the poor appearance........

TS showed a dagger grip eagle. It is not at all Amtswalter abzeichen (or "a pin for members of NSDAP" as was stated to TS).

Post # 11 shows poor casted fake of a grip eagle.
