With the help of Rob McDivitt (whom I highly recommend) I was able to discover the basic details about the recipient of this GPB. I now have copies of four original documents that leave no doubt that this badge was awarded to Friederich Wüst.
Of course the challenge now is to see if any biographical information can be found (even if he was just a civilian), any help or suggestions in finding further information would be greatly appreciated. Here are the basic facts that Rob uncovered and was found in the documentation (in addition to the fact that Wüst lost his badge twice):
Name: Friedrich Wüst (one document also referred to his first name as Fritz)
Nr. 97006
Born: 22/12/1904 (Amer. 12/22/1904)
Entered: 1/8/1928 (Amer. 8/01/1928)
Residence: Bad Dürkheim / Kr. Neustadt a.d. Wienstraße (a.d. Haardt) / Beethovenstr.11
Gau: Westmark (Rheinpfalz, Saarpfalz)
Biogramm: Kaufmann, Reichsbahn Assistent
I want to thank you again for the help and assistance you all have given me, especially Andreas and Br. James. Any further comments or suggestions are certainly welcome.

Can anyone read the "additional comments" section of the card or discern the abbreviation for profession? Thanks again, Zach
