    SA Brigade 54 March 22-23 August 1936

This was recently given to myself by a work colleague, whose Father came back with this in 1946 from Germany (along with a single nondescript Luftwaffe photo).

As my area of interest falls with Luftwaffe paperwork, this sits way outside of my area of collecting, that said I am really interested to see if I can find anything out about this piece.

So, as all I can see are some SA men and a date, is anyone able to explain anything more at all?

Any help will be very well recieved.

    Regards Richard.

Starting with obverse and reverse shots.

This would have been sold at a Brigade level SA Aufmarsch in Freiburg in Breisgau.
The dates show when it took place.

        Many thanks indeed Erich.

Not knowing absoloutly anything about the world of Tinnies and Political badges, is there any collectability or desirability on a badge such as this?

        Regards Richard.

Not rare but still a nice badge, at a military fair a dealer would ask £25 -£30
          for one

Thank you very much indeed for the info.

Pleasantly suprised to read that as it happens, I was expecting a stock £10 answer!

I must admit that I am tempted to clean the badge in order to reveal some more of the detail.

            Regards Richard.

IMO, the badge shouldn't be cleaned. You can see some wear to the piece, and if you clean it, the wear will be emphasized. I think the details you're looking for are worn off.

Thank you for that, and you are right I think.

I won't clean it, rather leave it in the condition and finish that it is in now.

                Regards Richard.
