I bought this item a few days ago. Can anyone help me with the maker? I cannot find any markings. The piece where the needle is supposed to lock is missing. I bought a lot with 5 items and I have posted them at some other forums at this main forum (those are confirmed real).

I don't believe I've ever seen an original example of the 1937 DRL Sports Badge which didn't bear a maker's mark and the design register "D.R.G.M. 35269".

It looks like the badge you posted is made of zinc. Very unusual as the majority by far were made of Buntmetall. I once owned a DRL Sports Badge in zinc, made by Hermann Wernstein of Jena-Löbstedt, but it had the typical maker marking and D.R.G.M. number.
I know some collectors say that any DRL Sports Badge without maker markings is a postwar reproduction. I'm not certain whether that is correct or not. Your badge looks very believable to me, but I could be wrong about this.

Sport badge
This item was bought a week ago together with the Norwegian frontfighter badge in silver, wounded badge in black + miniature, infantry assault badge in silver. All are 100 real deal. All these were given to the same norwegian frontfighter.Comment
