Referred to as the Austrian fake. Some have made an argument that these might have been fabricated in the second half of 1938 and later to accommodate the Austrian awardees.

A review of the numbers on the back revealed that all have been used, usually in 5 digit combinations. Some just got used more frequently, like 6 and 9.

Ja, that is the same fake that that Gary Symonds sent me last year.

I was able to compare it to a Fuess i had at the same time under the scope.

The leaves on the fake, join on to the next leaf - going around the border - at an angle/off center, whereas with the genuine they join on to the leaf in the middle.
The fake leaves are all straight as toothpicks, the genuines are slightly curved so they "go merrily around the border"

For a closer look at this:
Fake leaf left side // Fake leaf right side

Genuine & Fake 2 segments with background cut out compared

The next immediate giveaway, are the train tracks - the actual background. On the genuine they are always thick, like sleepers on a micro-train track, whereas on the fake they are pointy.
Genuine train tracks // Fake train tracks

And then would come the wrong material, wrong gilding, and we havnt even started on the enameled part yet

Great posts my friends, I also add the engraving of numbers.

In this fake example you can see a different of deep engraving then the original one.

Please look the different of the "9" number of this genuine gpa between the fake one. Numbers appear more deeply engraved

& it looks like the seller has gotten his friends (or possible own multiple accounts) to bid on the badge. But, if there is a new owner at the end of it all, then let`s hope he is happy.
I would think rather "made in the UK" than made in Austria, but who cares really.

Well, € 200.- would not be bad for a genuine Goldenes Parteiabzeichen, unfortunately it is way too much for a fake!

It does not help when the "Kings of Bling" sell them as genuine. Weitze, Hermanvs Historicvs.. they have all had these fakes at one of other time as genuine. Weitze wanted a lot more than €200.- for his. €750 to be precise.
