    SA Sports badge ring...

Was wondering if anyone had seen one of these before. Not up on what is real and what is not in the WWII German ring dept. Appears to have a makers mark but I can't make it out. Please let me know what you think. Mike

      Mike,
These may have been based on a real ring, or be a fantasy creation molded off a miniature, but this is a post 45 cast. There was a seller on ebay that listed one or two of these every week back in the 'good old days' on ebay, and a few dealers still sell them as repros.

I agree with Erich. The poor quality speake itself. I´m realy interest to see a high quality original one.

Once again, thanks for the comments. While they reinforced my feelings about this ring, one comment made me think of something. Now, I mainly collect Imperiial items I still like to read and learn what I can about WWII items. The comment "The poor quality speake itself." makes me wonder something.
Am I to assume that only "quality" produced items were made and handed out during the Third Reich era with no lesser or poorer quality items making it out the door? That only "quality made" items were handed out?
Seems odd that qualitly control on so many different manufactors would be able to maintain that norm, especially as the war was ending. Now i do believe the ring is a post war dream ring. So I am not wondering about it, just the "quality" thing. Is that a main factor in juding WWII badges as such. Thanks Mike

I mean the structural mistakes in the emblem. This is not the german quality. Especially such a silver made ring, an expensive item in this time.

I understand what your saying about the ring--what I am asking is why would that not have happen during the course of making different items. Mistakes always get out--and I wonder how good quaility control was in the last years of the war. I am not talking about this ring but about quality control in general. Mike
