1929 party rally badge on long pin

I got this recently, didn't know they exist with this long vertical pin.
Butschek sold a Hofstaetter marked one recently for around 460€...

    Thanks for comments!

Repairs created all kind of oddities, so why not a RPT 1929 with a vertical pin.

this is the Butschek one, seems to be factory mounted vertical pin:

One is a rare mini stickpin and the one that Udo posted is a full size badge with a sick pin attachment added.

                Thanks Erich!

Maybe the receipient felt more comfortable with this style of needle. Easier to mount on the tunic...

Yes and I always like the badges that the original owner customized.

Is it possible that manufacturers such as F. Hoffstaetter operated their own retail jewelry stores? If they did, then it would have been possible for a customer to purchase a medallion such as this 1929 RPT piece -- either full-sized or mini -- and to have Hoffstaetter add a stickpin mounting to it right there...no?

                    Just thinkin' out loud,
