    Isn't this the Souval type with the die flaw on the left wing? Don't know if it's pré 1945.

        Yes Souval type and textbook to include the ribbon with typical brown stripes. Original in my opionion but they command a lower price than the 19 marked examples. Lovely condition by the way.

                I have always felt these with the left wing die flaw were period and still do. Today you can't reproduce that gold finish.

                    Viewing front,it is the outer side of the upper feather of the left wing. Here is an excellent thread discussing the same issue.

                      The die flaw example has been considered period, but some examples show more detail than others. The 19 marked examples are considered the standard but these are considered original by many.
