Hi,

Good original "galamutze" DAF cap badge.
This was a peaked cap worn by DAF members, and regulations at the time stated that the cap could not be purchased without this badge affixed before being sold to the buyer.
A hand embroidered version exists, which was possibly for more senior ranks in the DAF.
These caps were worn by German workers on marches, rallies, and in particular May Day celebrations throughout the Third Reich period.
Nice badge in good condition.
