Through the years, have accumulated a pretty good number of badges and insignia that have some sort of damage or deflugelty.

They are put in a period field Red Cross wooden box called the "Hospital Box"

Ron,

That SA sports badge with cut out swas appears to have been in a fire.

When I used to live in Germany as a youth I was given a minesweeper badge by a lady who removed it from her husbands KM uniform which he burnt when he was demobbed. It looked just like that.
