      Hello Michael
Yes nice and rare indeed. Ferdinand Wagner made them. There are two "versions" if you will, both struck under the identical obverse die, (so the face designs are always identical) one is marked Ferd[inand] Wagner, the other is only marked KRUYT.
      They are gold gilded.

The American fakes from the 1980`s are easy to spot, they are very poor quality, wrong base metal and not coated/gilded.

Mostly you will find the fakes for sale as genuine for a low amount, 200 or so, when the genuine badges sell for 3 x that - any day of the week.

Here is an example of a fake.

        Dear Jo,

Did the Wagner marked pins also faked?

        Best regards,

        Rene

I have only ever seen genuine Wagner-marked badges before.
Here is one for sale at the moment.

I would say that if there were fakes marked WAGNER, then i would have seen them, it is a badge that i have had an eye on now for many years.

On the link above to Dan`s site, you`ll see a genuine marked KRUYT badge if you scroll down.

              Hello guys,

thanks for your information! Never saw one of these before I consider selling this piece, if any of you is interested let me know. My account doesn't allow me to sell items on the forum.

Jo so you are saying the one on Meda Militaria is fake? Can you please explain why? I have been looking at that badge for some time.

                Thank you

If you haven't paid the 25.00 membership, how can you go around the rules and sell through a PM....I would assume before you can sell on the fourum in any capacity, to have not paid the fee seems to me to be breaking the rules and would be an infraction, am I correct or completely wrong?

Seems I have seen this going on here for years and I was of the assumption to sell this way here was not permitted? So....is this allowed or verboten?

Could the moderator please chime in and give the correct answer to this question please?(nothing against the seller, just curious as to the fine point of the selling rules)
