          Hi Klaus,

There is some lively debate about whether the NS-Sympathizer badges like the "Ludendoff v Grafe" should be RZM marked. Whatever the answer is to that, I'm afraid yours is not real. The "M1/4 GES. GESCH." back is a well known fake, mostly seen on fantasy SS enamel badges, especially (but not always) with a thin pin plate.

The second badge I also think is a modern copy (from WWII Products Inc., I think) with a known fake RZM logo known as the "lazy M" or "canted M", where the "M" looks like two tents.

Thanks for the input Stephen and Don, after looking at some of the other theads I saw what you ment by the lazy M, I was hoping that at least the small one was real, but awww crap!? So far ir seems that the only thing that is real in my collection is the Mothers Day Cross that I got from my Great Gran.

why the "M1/4 GES. GESCH." mark is a fake. I have seen just a ss enamel pin with this mark on the back.........is it truly a fake?

SS enamel pins were never marked with the RZM or "M" numbers.

                  Cheers

There is a fake / fantasy badge that is the size of a party pin in black enamel with white SS runes. The back is marked "M1/4 GES. GESCH.". It is a total fantasy - never existed.

I saw them for the first time back in 1997, but they may be older.

Don is right - SS enamel was never RZM marked.

Probably - There are some fakes with this RZM number out there. Like I said above, in my opinion these badges came out before the RZM got going, M1/128 was issued in the mid- to late 1930s, and these weren't realy party pins, but others say they could be real. It's hard to tell without a picture. Are there any other marks on the reverse?

                            Hi Dav71,

Hard to say without a picture. I'd be skeptical.
