    reichsparteitag tinnies

    Hi there,

I am interested in collecting reichsparteitag tinnies.
can somebody tell me if there is a complete list of tinnies manufactured ?
Or can somebody tell from when they started to make and distribute these tinnies is the 1929 tinnie the first reichsparteitag tinnie and from there they manufactured a tinnie for every reichsparteitag ?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello Vincent,

Here is the list of RPTs and I believe there was an event badge created for each Party Congress, including the 1939 which never took place:

    NSDAP Congress Badges — Reichsparteitag

    1. The First Party Day, January 27-29, 1923, Munich.
("German Day," 1923, Nuremberg, September 1-2. Not counted as an official Reichsparteitag.)
    2. The Weimar Rally, 1926, July 3-4.
    3. "The Day of Awakening," 1927, Nuremberg, August 19-21.
    4. "The Party Day of Composure," 1929, Nuremberg, August 1-4.
    5. "The Party Day of Victory," 1933, Nuremberg, August 31-September 3. Theme: "Victory of Faith" ("Sieg des Glaubens").
    6. "The Party Day of Unity," 1934, Nuremberg, September 4-10. Theme: "Triumph of the Will" ("Triumph des Willens").
    7. "The Party Day of Freedom," 1935, Nuremberg, September 10-16.
8: "The Party Day of Honor," 1936, Nuremberg, September 8-14.
    9. "The Party Day of Labor," 1937, Nuremberg, September 6-13.
    10. "The Party Day of Greater Germany," 1938, Nuremberg, September 5-12.
("The Party Day of Peace," 1939, Nuremberg, originally scheduled for September 2-11, was to have been the largest and longest Parteitag festival ever. It never took place, being canceled on August 26, 1939.)

Occasionally there shows up an RPT badge bearing a military motif and the date of 1940, also including Professor Richard Klein's initials. While the last Party Congress to actually take place was the 1938 event, it is conceivable that advance preparations were under way for at least the projected 1940 event, if not even later events, since it took s huge effort and expense to put a Party Congress together. The surviving material created for the scheduled 1939 event was massive and examples continue to show up regularly. So, again, it is at least possible that planning for the 1940 RPT was at a fairly advanced stage when war broke out in 1939 and all future events were cancelled.

      Vincent,

There are some fact sheets on the Association page for each of the rally badges 1933-1939; here's the link for the 1933 badge http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/asso...9.05.01.01.pdf

You have to be an Association Member to view those pages, but they're a start at showing the more common badges. The fact sheets are by no means complete; they don't include the early years as listed by Br. James, and they don't include the rarer versions like tabletop medals, real silver 1933 badge, etc.

Best of luck; Reichsparteitag stuff is fun!
