Hi Vincent and welcome to the forum.

I righted your images and made them a bit smaller for easier viewing.

Yes, your 1936 Reichsparteitag tinnie is an original.

      Best regards,
      Tom

              Hi Vincent,

Welcome among us -- it's good to have you here! I agree with our colleagues below that your '36 RPT badge is an original specimen.

Best wishes on collecting all of the RPT badges; most years' representations are commonly available and at reasonable prices (keep an eye out on a number of dealer's websites), though the earlier you go during the Kämpfzeit, the rarer and more expensive the visitor's badges become. Nothing new there in terms of collecting antiques -- which these certainly are -- but I thought I'd mention it anyway!

              Cheers, and good luck,

              Br. James

Thank you, i am glad i have found this forum.
What are some of the things i have to look for when in the field and for example at a market and wanting to buy a tinnie ?
Any specific things that will tell it is a fake or real ?

Do any of you know reliable online webshops for militaria ?

                Thanks for the help.

As the old saying goes, "Experience is a hard taskmaster," Vincent! But there will come a time when a piece will speak to you as it sits there on the table, though this can only happen after years of seeing and handling originals and comparing the fakes, which abound in any field of antique collecting!

                  Best of luck,

                  Br. James

                    Welcome to the forum, Vincent.

When hunting for relics online, I recommend researching any sellers before you make a purchase. This forum offers a very useful resource in that you can search a seller's webstore or name, and learn about the experiences of other members with that particular dealer. The e-stand and the forum sponsors list provides a good starting point.

The forum also provides countless photo examples of both original and reproduction items, including many of the tinnies that you are interested in. Studying up on these will assist you in determining what is original when you are in the field. The value of reference books also cannot be understated.

Good luck on the search! Collecting the day badges is an engaging and affordable way to study the history and become better acquainted with the period.

                    All best
