It's a Gau Wartheland Volksdeutsche badge.

If most who were eligible in Gau Wartheland received one, it would still mean there were thousands given out, even more produced.
On the other hand, it was no badge of honor after the Russians brought us 'freedom' so I would imagine very, very few survived. Most seen today are in relic condition as found by diggers and very few are as pristine as your example.
In fact, I'd go as far as saying it is probably the best conditioned specimen I have seen.
Definitely uncommon badge in any condition and a great score.

I got this pin with a lot I just picked from a old man
