    2. Unfortunately there is slight damage to reverse enamel which looks worse on photographs.

Very satisfying to complete a set...all I need now is a case for the 25.

Many congratulations, textbook 25 year Deumer, I love the been there, worn and loved look. A lot of 25 year Deumer's look as though they were 'liberated' from the factory at wars end rather than bestowed. This one has a lot of character and is a great piece considering how very scarce these are in any condition. It looks like there is a very nice condition 15 year Deumer next to it, you must be very pleased to complete the set - thanks for posting,

        Cheers

            Congratulations to completing a set.

In the worn condition the 25 year cross is in it would look odd in a case. Would be perfect on a medal bar, though.

Is the 15-Yr also "19" marked?

              Great set by the way.

Yes, very nice indeed. I like when awards show use rather than those that were awarded and then put away in drawers.

                  Hi John,

Great 25yr cross in very nice, been-there condition. This one has excellent character and the small bit of enamel loss on the reverse wouldn't bother me a bit. Beautiful Deumer, congrats my friend

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thank you for your comments, I have been searching for a good one for some time - I never thought that I would ever own one of these TBH. In answer to some questions...

The 25 yr is ring-stamped '19' which I am led to believe is E. Ferdinand Weidmann of Frankfurt am Main.

The 15 yr Deumer is not ring-stamped.

The 10 yr is ring-stamped '21' (Godet & Co, Berlin).

I would like a case which displays similar wear to the 25 yr cross as the 15 and 10 both have cases, and I think that a decoration of this status deserves more than a Perspex medal stand!

                          Hi John,

You have to look at the M11 codes for the NSDAP Long Service medals, which is different than the typical PKZ numbers you find on combat-awarded decorations. When you do that you find that:

"19" stands for M11/19, which is Deumer.

"21" stands for M11/21, which is Josef Hillebrand, Gablonz.

                          Tom

I did not know that - thank you. That explains the similarities between the 25 yr and the 15 yr examples. I wonder why the 15 yr Deumer is not stamped then? Something else that I find odd is that the 10 yr box is flock lined, yet the 15 yr is plain cardboard.

                              Hi John,

Look very closely at the 15, sometimes Deumer stamped the 19 in very, very lightly.
