    Junk store find!

    I hope this is the correct forum, I apologize if it is not, please direct me to the right one or just move this thread if need be. I am relatively new to this forum.
    I bought a pin at a local antique/junk store here in town, during lunch yesterday. I have no idea what it is, what it is worth or what it was used for. I only gave $5 for it. It is about the size of a quarter, it is a wreath with wings on it and a swastika on the bottom. Here is a link to a picture of the pin:

    Thanks for the help.<!-- / message -->

    Welcome to the forum.

    Looks like you've got yourself Ehrenzeichen für treue Arbeit (25 jährige Dienstzeit) für Angestellte und Arbeiter der Luftwaffe.

    Basically a decoration for faithful work (25 years service) for employees and workers of the Air Force.

    Looking at the condition of yours, there may have been a standard lapel badge that the award was a copy of, I'm not sure, or it may be that the coating has come off over the years which would happen if it's made of Zinc. Others may know better than me.

    Here's one in wear.

    Cheers
    Don

      These pins were introduced in 1937 and worn exclusively by paid employees of the Reich Aviation Abminstration on civilian clothing. It was also in gold for those with 25 years service.

        Thanks for the extra info James, I had a feeling that there was going to be an "ordinary version" but wasn't sure

        Cheers
