    1936 Olympic. Official "Teilnehmerabzeichen".

    Hello.
I bought it bundled with several other awards. I checked a few websites...IMO is OK.
Despite this, I would like to know your opinion...
I would be very grateful for all your comments

                Olympic attaché badge

Your badge is quite scarce. During the berlin games, each olympic team had assigned to them, an "attache" in the person of a german military officer, who was fluent in the language of the team they were with. They lived with the team in the olympic village, and most were awarded the olympic order 2nd class for their duties. I know as I owned an example of the badge you have as well as the second class document to a luftwaffe officer who was the attache to the Pakistan olympic team. The names of the various attaches can be found in the two volume official report of the 1936 Olympic Games, itself a rare collectible itself.
Congratulations on such a great find!
