Hi Andy, is this one painted as opposed to being enameled? If so, I have never seen or heard of it before.
The maker would be "Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen."

          Cheers, Ade.

Hi Andy, that is what I thought too.

I do not know if these badges were made in painted form like the late war NSDAP membership badges. But they were zinc whereas this appears to be the usual plated type.

              Cheers, Ade.

                  Andy,
Not all painted badges were made of zinc I have a painted NSDAP membership badge that's magnetic and also a painted DRK pin that's also magnetic. As this badge looks to be original as far as construction is concerned, in my opinion it was just painted instead of being enameled possibly just leftover blank stock.

Thanks for the info James. I just checked it and it's not magnetic not even the pin?

                      Andy,
It's not being magnetic doesn't surprise me at all most likely it is either a bronze or copper base. My comment about magnetism was just to point out that just because it's painted means it should necessarily be made of zinc.
