    Odd hat badge?

Hi guys, First I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This site is my favorite place to go on the web and I just want you to know that I appreciate all the knowledge I gain from here. I have what I think may be a hat badge. The badge itself is silverwash with oakleaf cluster at bottom with rays at the top. The center oval is black with some sort of memorial looking tower. The words at the top as best as I can make out state: Der Ruffhauferbund. The words at the bottom state feinem Ramerraden. The Rs at the beginning of the Ruffhauferbund and Ramerraden coud be Ks. It is hard to tell with the script> Thanks!

    Hi Malcom,
seasons greeting to you the badge you describe is for the Kyffhauserbund (veterans assoc.) and sound like a comerade type badge (kamerraden) I have no pictures of these on file but if you wait i am sure someone will post one (there are i am sure many variations)

Here is a picture of the Hat Badge Malcolm is asking about. Does anyone have a more definitive Identification other then it being a veteran org. hat badge.

this is not the badge that i had in mind !!!! this is i am far as i know the Kyffhauser-Ehrenzeichen (honor insignia) and was worn on the lower section of
            the arm band.
I am afraid thats all i know but some where i have a photo of an example that used to be in my collection.
