    Silver Gau Thuringia Badge

I've searched the forum and read what I could find on this piece. Saw a couple examples. I still can't confirm whether it is good or not. To my eye it looks okay. What do you think?

Matthew, please educate the great unwashed masses, and point out to us exactly why this is a reproduction?

        reincarnated 222

        Certainly,

The badge that started this thread is another cast reproduction of original Gau Thuringen badge numbered 222.
If you look closely on the obliterated background where the numerals are you can still see the last '2' of '222'.
Details match with another cast reproduction as posted by member Adren and can be seen in comparison pic below. Those are file marks, not die marks- no way would they be a match on two different, genuine badges.
I included another pic of what the 222 numeral used to look 'pre-op' if you will on another cast reproduction for the benefit of others.

Not that I am breaking any news to you here since it was you who sold Adren his cast fake and it is you who owned (owns?) the other cast fake 222 as pictured below as well.

          That is news.

Tell you what Matt, I'll bring it to Pomona and you can get a better look.

See you at Bob Hritz's table?
