Hi Birka, I would not dismiss this item too quickly. There were many diiferent "tinnies" made out of plastic. I do not collect these, but I think that it could be OK?

Hopefully one of the more experienced tinnie collectors will comment on it for you.

    Cheers, Ade.

But the "M" sign means "metal" or not?

Hi Birka, not sure I follow what you mean? I cannot see any other photos?

Are you refering to an RZM contract number?

        Cheers, Ade.

This is a good pin. I have one and it is in my reference books. I will not have access to my books until Friday to look it up.

              Hello Birka,
The description of this badge according to Manion's tinnie books follows: "SA Paramilitary Sports competition 1939. SA Group Westphalia. Plastic molded badge and hallmarked. Greenery on wreath, shields and motto are picked out in green, red, gold and maroon paint. Approximately 1.81x1.63 in size." Nice looking tinnie!

The "M" is indeed for "Metall" as an RZM prefix, but for some reason they were used on the M9 Day Badges made of plastic and bakelite. Probably because there was no other RZM designation that was close.
