    pre nazi pin

I have purched a pin, half the diameter of the standard nsdap pin. around the edge over red enamel is printed"DIE-DEUTSCHE-PARTEI". inner surface is a white circle bisected by a black cross inside a black circle. the reverse is marked something like"Johann(something), with Frankfurt AM directly underneath. has standard pin. I have no picture to send. can anyone help me I.D. this pin. thank you,FW 200.

Die Deutsche Partei (DDP) was one of the many German nationalist political groups of the 1920s and '30s. What you have is a membership pin of the organization.

Thank you very much! Do you have any idea what it is worth? It is in excellent condition. Many thanks!

Not to be confused with DDP = Deutsche Demokratische Partei, not a nationalist, but a liberal party of the 20s and 30s.
Actually, I have never heard of a group called the "Deutsche Partei" in Weimar time. Was that a party or some different organization?

        Regards
        Chris

The pin just has DIE DEUTCHE PARTEI on it. Sorry, but I know nothing about this organization. Maybe somebody can post a picture of this pin? Thanks, everyone! FW 200

For those with the Heering-Hüsken book this pin is pictured as #4009a. They valued this at DM250 in the 1997 edition. Probably worth it to a collector of esoterica, but a tough sale.

Just speculation, but possibly this DDP (there were several) may have been a short-lived Nazi cover organization during the prohibition period. The center design could have been a thinly disguised sunwheel swastika.

When you look at the pin, it seems like it should be a swastica instead of a black cross, like an optical illusion of some sort! Thanks for reply. Do you know where to find the book you mentioned? FW 200
