    Please have a look at this very nice Gau badge 1925. It is the variant with small pin but a 100% original in nice shape

                Yes, I agree that this piece is in very nice shape, as compared with other examples of the 1925 Common Gau Badge w/peeling paint, but the oakleaves and acorns leave me cold...they aren't nearly as sharp and distinct as they should be...IMHO, of course.

                      6 years! Better late than never.

                      Nothing wrong with it. It's a needle pin variant with painted black finish.
                      These needle pin types came in both date formats.

                        Agree--the needle pin version is a legitimate style, usually in conjunction with the painted swastika (as opposed to the enameled version). Some collectors and dealers in the past had speculated that the double wire type was for male recipients and the wire type for female, but I never found any documentation about the reason for the 2 different devices.
