    cloth patch-help needed

    Hi
Another item from the collection. This time a cloth patch. So far it looks like the cloth items are ok and the badges rubbish. Can you help with this one.
    Thanks again

Andy - hey mate - one thing that you may keep in mind is that there are many research materials out there for the collector; of course, this forum is a wealth of experience and knowledge to garner from.... but do some of your own research too - buy some books - search the web - educate yourself slowly but surely - our "experts" have done the same - they had to start somewhere, eh....

        Regards-

        KAS

          Hi Kas<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Appreciate your comments. At this stage, I am not sure if I shall get involved with the collection of German items. Although I find the items of great interest and very nicely made, the amount of fakes and copies in your hobby really scares me. Being a collector of British medals and badges, I do of coarse come across copies but fortunately, not to the extent that you do. I have inherited a large amount of German items, some of which are original and some copies. At this stage, I shall continue to work my way through the collections and decide what to do when this is finished. If I do continue in the hobby, I will of coarse commit to the books needed and endeavour to educate myself as much as possible(With your help).<o></o>

Thanks to you and all the knowledgeable members for there help so far<o></o>

          Regards<o></o>

              Fakes.....part of the hobby

Yancy came up with his opinion on the RAD patch; as I thought, looked good to me too.

Also - remember that I said to put them aside as "questionable" and you never know; someone else may have seen things a little differently. Surf the net and keep looking mate.

              Best wishes for the holidays-

              KAS
