apologies first if this is the wrong place to post--somebody from treasurenet referred me to this site.
this is a german brooch circa 1910s. nice quality, made of silverplated copper with red enamel. it reads "GOTT MIT UNS / LUITPOLDHAUS" with a christian cross design.
the back is plain and hand-engraved "10"--possibly some kind of badge # or ID# but not sure. i do not think it is the date.
militaria is not my field (i collect antique enamel jewelry from this time period) but i at least recognize "gott mit uns" as a german military slogan.
does anybody recognize this design, or have a suggestion where i might go to find out? simple google searches found no leads.
thank you!
