Help to identify this badge

Picked this up a while back, suspect it is a Railways badge. Scrolls on the side read 'GOTT MIT UNS' and the rest reads 'Deutcher Eisenbahn Beamten Verein Zu Hannover'. Something about railway society to Hannover, is this Third Reich as colour of the ribbon looks very familiar!

I believe it is a member or event badge of the Hannover section of the German Railway Officials Union. My guess is it is pre-1918.
