    • Early - possibly because some of the pictured items are found in a 1926 Deumer catalog.
    • NSDAP - There is no connection at all.

A shame it looks like the board is breaking up. should be kept together and framed.
Being them on a "Muster" board, they might be just examples and never worn/issued.

"NSDAP - There is no connection at all."

        Hi Jo,

An interesting comment. I notice that at least two of the items on the sample board include a swastika -- one over the imperial red-white-black colors and another on what looks like a Stahlhelm Bund pin -- but 'no connection to the NSDAP?'

        Thanks,

        Br. James

With the two items offered, there is no connection. I can think of a few orgs. that used a swastika at that time. (If you are accepting that these are in fact early items) So if you are saying there is, then you need to prove a link between the two items offered, and the [early[ NSDAP, The presence of a swastika on the painted whateveritis, doesn't go anywhere to suggest NSDAP, well not from the table i am standing on.
But i can read, and i know that all you were saying is that my comment was interesting
An early supporter pin? an NSDAP sympathy pin? Then why are there a few funny tools behind the funny shield - a dagger - a cutlass and a bit of wreath, all very untypical items to find on an early - or any - NSDAP item, not so?
          Or so unusual that it can only mean one thing? G E N U I N E !
          i`m off to bed.....

            what I thought

As much connection to NSDAP as it has to Stahlhelm- pinned with some of its insignia on the same sheet of cardboard but not much more than that.
Maybe the seller would like to explain how he arrived at his conclusion?

            cheers

Thanks for the response, Jo. You're giving me more credit for knowledge than I deserve...or perhaps you're crediting me with a deviousness that I had not intended! I am unaware that "a few orgs. used a swastika at that time" -- meaning in the 1920s -- and that such organizations had no affiliation with the NSDAP. That is what I find interesting!

              Cheers,

              Br. James

Either way a shame to split the board!
