    RAD badge opinions

    Hi, just a simple Rad badge, but would like opinions please? Is this a cap badge?

      Yes it is a cap badge and the number indicates the year of manufacture.

        James beat me to it!one more small detail,its a EM hat badge an officers would be enamled.

            Thanks everyone, very helpful, also thanks Yancy for pointing out the difference between the EM & Officers badges, I was totally unaware of this.

              All badges with that certain pin were they for headgear or could they be used for something else?

                    If that is an officers one, yes, I just went and looked at mine and it is a enlisted mens one.

                        Here's one that I have. Stamped type construction with a number 44
                        on it. Any opinions or comments would be appreciated. Note the crosshatched swas field.
