    Hi everyone,

I have the permission to post pictures of this case. It was found in Berlin. Opinions please...

      Todt box

If genuine, this would be quite a collectable to surface in recent history.
It certainly looks the part, I have no reason to believe it is not real. Authentication might pose somewhat of a challenge but I would love to have it in my collection regardless.
Any ideas what the symbolism would be behind the anchor?
'Rare' is being thrown around forums way too often but it is refreshing to see something that truly lives up to that description for once.
      Thanks for posting!

      cheers

      Matt

        Hi Wim,

I certainly agree with Matt here; what a spectacular and RARE artifact! Does it have the original lining, the central mounting for the ring, and the lid interior? The casket appears to be made of silver...is that true? Are those gemstones mounted to the exterior? Are there any markings whatsoever anywhere on this piece?

        Many thanks, my friend,

        Br. James
