I was going through my ribbon box and cam up with a few of these odd ribbons that are sewn together. What are they and are they period or copies?

Each of the ribbons is about 32 mm. I unfolded it and measured, so am not exact. With the two ribbons folded and sewn, the width is 44.35 mm.

Did you blacklight the ribbon? If the white portions don't react, and if the material is not modern (e.g. polyester), I would think the ribbon(s) are original. I can only think it was done to create a wider ribbon for use in making up the pocket arrangement/button hole portion.

There is no glow and the material burns exactly like other period ribbon.
