"Tinnie" is a general collector term for stuff like WHW pieces and also day badges made to commemorate various events (such as this one is). They weren't awards. For me a badge is either an award or denotes membership in some organization. "Tinnies" can be made of metal, wood, glass, even paper.

Technically it is a tinnie, albeit a fairly scarce one. This is for the 15 year celebration of the "Alten Garde" (old guard) who participated in the Coburg event in 1922. Not sure if these were only given to the original participants (which would then make it very scarce) or anyone that participated in the celebration.

It may be rare, though I usually see at least one or more of these every year, but it apparently doesn't have a lot of demand. Jon Fish tried to sell one on the e-stand not that long ago and it languished there through several price reductions and eventually sold for less than $100.

Guess you have to be a Coburg junkie like me to appreciate the historical value of this tinnie.

I was really surprised that Jon's lasted as long and underwent so many price reductions before it finally sold. I guess all of us Coburg/political junkies already had one and didn't need another!
