A friend is offering this to me. I have only these pictures but should have the badge in a couple days for inspection.

What is your opinion of this piece? If original, what is the proper price range for pieces such as this?

I wholeheartedly agree that this is a reproduction. You may also encounter Red Cross and Social Welfare awards with this maker mark too !! Also an utterely spurious RLB kneck award. Beware.

They were frequently seen here in England about 10/15 years ago - looks like they have swam the pond eh !!!

If only all the fakers made it this easy - "M9" was the RZM designation that was only used on Tinnies. (Although M9/72 is the correct one for tinnies made by Kolwitz.)
