No idea what it is but if you dont get any responses here you may have better luck on the "Freikorps/Weimar Repubic" forum because a lot of Freikorps units used skulls as a symbol

This is a "turn of the century" American Faternal Organization stick pin....(100% sure!).... (Masonic).... nothing to do with the Freikorps, Germany, or whatever....

If you'd shown a good picture of the reverse and complete pin...it would be obviously 1890s/1900 era American.... I've seen many of these over the years.

That said....of interest to "Masonic" Collectors and to "Skull" collectors.... but not really to "Military collectors".....
