This is the first time I have ever seen these particular enamels. What is the history/background on these?

Thanks everyone, it was sheer luck to find these pins. A friend had been turned onto an enamel collection that had been sold on Friday of the SOS to a dealer. We both went to look at the collection. I was lucky enough to get these two pins. He was able to purchase two extremely nice pins for his collection.

I've ordered my copy. If it doesn't arrive or I have problems I'll just have to move in with Jo and learn from him first hand.

It's one of the few books that are published the last couple of years that is well worh the money.

Thanks Wim, if anything it is a lesson in English, showing the reader that it is perfectly OK to have 357 commas in one sentence.
