I'm having problems trying to upload pictures of the obverse.

In my opinion it is a good one. B-stuck with the first type of needle.

Thank you Wim for your answer. I felt reasonably good about the authenticity of this badge, but I had never seen a badge where the pin plate covers the maker number.

Regardless...they may have gone to a larger pin base , from an earlier designed pin. Who knows...but it has age , character, wear, and patina....also finish on the pin, and base are consistent ...does it worry you...I would think not, but it is a good question. QUESTION: does the B mark mean it is a replacement , like in the HJ golden sports badges? (or ??)

Yes, the B mark is here also for a replacement badge. There even exist Deumer B-marked examples with a serial number. These are pretty rare.
