This one is in my collection for a long time. Bought it on a local fair. Opinions please ...

Interesting, Wim. Noting that the stickpin has no point for penetrating cloth or other material, it would have been difficult to wear this pin as-is and it would have left an unfortunately large hole in whatever fabric it was attached to. Such a pin could not have been worn more than once or twice on a necktie without destroying the fabric, though I suppose it could have been worn through a lapel button hole on a jacket without damaging the cloth -- but it would have been insecurely held in that case and may have gotten detached.
