NSDAP Flag-Pin Opinions & Comments Please

After an exhausting research to find another one of these little fellows, I remain unconvinced of its early period. Nonetheless it bears the quality and materials of an early pin and is non-magnetic on all metal parts. Wear on the flag staff show underlying Tombak. Everything about this little lapel pin suggests it is not a copy. However, there are forgers who have fooled even the most discriminate eye.

The height of the staff is 16.65mm; width 9.89mm and length 18.51mm.

    Thanks,
    Dan

There are photos of similar pins and stick pins on Mr. Jo Rivett's excellent website, viewable here: http://www.parteiabzeichen.ch/index.php/home

I think yours is a nice original. I like these!

Thank you for answering my inquiry. I know Josef, and looked through his recent publication on the Parteiabzeichen.

I will take a look. I have not seen this particular design and looked in all my books for comment and pictures. No luck.

I don't know about that particular design either, but there were many different types of patriotic/NSDAP supporter-type pins made by many manufacturers. That is my understanding, anyway.

Thanks Patrick. I was leaning 95% the little guy was an early pin.

I appreciate everyone's interest in lending a hand. Then again that is what we do.
