Thanks. I am now officially an "old fart" I suppose, and in the irrelevant period of my life. I never was an expert on any of this stuff.....didn't even have books, and certainly not this or any forum, when I started picking it up in 1946. Yep...the pins are just a little older than me, but in better shape. I hate to appear stupid, because I don't know the current terms, but does GSS mean the Gau Street Collections or sales? Thank you.

Hey Ron,
Well...I am only 33...so can we still be friends?!
Yes, GSS is an abbreviation for Gaustrassensamlungen...or Gau Street Collections. Within the WHW organization you had RSS which is national collecting, GSS which is Gau level collecting and then regional...this is the stuff that can get rare.
If you want to take a look at a lot more WHW stuff take a look at my website here: (not trying to shill my site...just providing educational information!)

That can probably be, I was friends with my step-grandson, who was born in 1997, he is 16 now; however, the relationship changed some years ago. He is now my son, Robert. I have had him since he was 6 months old, and finally got to adopt him a few years ago. I like being a father rather than a grandfather. I have nothing against younger fellows, would in some ways like to be one again but there have been some things I wouldn't want to go through again......like dying 4 times and later a stroke.....as well as some other things.
Thanks for the information. It is an interesting website. I have several of the things you have posted......but those straw (or whatever they are) things haven't faired very well.
Thanks again,
Ron
