WOW! My ignorance is really showing here! Not only have I never heard of "the US auto maker KIRT" but I have never seen this logo or badge before! Am I the only collector who finds it hard to believe that this design of an enamel badge featuring a black swastika on a white field within a red circle on which there appear to be words has NOTHING to do with the NSDAP??!! Where have I been all these years?!

KRIT is very interesting. Do some research and you may find some items very interesting. I am very very surprised that more members here did not know about KRIT and their symbol that is almost identical to the party pin. You learn something new every day .

P.S. Would love to have a KRIT badge one of these days.

The history of the car company yes, the silly connections to the NSDAP and National Socialism in general on that site are just lame. They couldn't even compare it to a genuine NSDAP membership badge and have used a fake . There is a reason why i never made mention of this in the chapter where i cover - and correctly answer - the question of when the Parteiabzeichen was designed, who designed it, and why. And there is no mention of an American car company for a good reason, because it has nothing to do with it.

The connections that are assumed on that site are fit for comedy central, nothing more and nothing less. Easy to see why it`s written the way it is though, the same as a great deal of early collectors reference guides.... "It is presumed.." "It has been suggested.." "It could be..." "Quite possibly.." Without a doubt put together by an individual with a shallow understanding of the NS movement in Europe and Germany - and history in general.I wouldn't be surprised at all if that site was together by a Rockwell resident, binoculars in hand, eagerly waiting for Elvis to return in his UFO.

In my opinion, this badge is not only totally unrelated to national socialism, but also a fake or possibly even fantasy. Every one of these of which I've seen the backside pictured is clearly not made in a way consistent with its supposed age. Also, the K-R-I-T Car Company's logo (as seen on the hood emblem) is a white swastika in a blue circle surrounded by a white ring. Without any other evidence to back it up, my opinion is that these are fantasy pieces made purposefully to look similar to the NSDAP party badge.

By 'fantasy,' I mean that, in my opinion, the black, white and red "K-R-I-T" badge is not authentic to the period. I think it was created after 1945 to fool collectors.

That's why I meant "Interesting" The page is pure speculation and propaganda IMO. It was a very interesting read as are other items that take our hobby to another level. I was surprised that there are some members that never heard of the car company. I guess I should have been clear and followed my statement with "Take the information with a grain of salt and make your own decisions". However, I thought we were beyond having to clarify everything. Was wrong I suppose. You mean to say there aren't UFO's flying around our governments' aircraft testing site? There goes this months vacation. Love those UFO people.

                      It sounds logical to me!
